I am Zhiqing Xu, a Chemical Engineering PhD candidate at the Laboratory for Metabolic Systems Engineering (LMSE), University of Toronto.
My research primarily focuses on the application of deep learning techniques, such as natural language processing (NLP), to protein design and bioinformatics. My published work encompasses a range of topics, including sequence-to-function learning, compound-protein interaction prediction, molecular property prediction, and biochemical pathway prediction. As I continue my academic and professional journey, my ultimate career goal is to become a skilled data scientist and AI engineer, making contributions to the field of deep learning applications in various fields.
